Overview
The Großer Hund isn't just another Maschinen Krieger kit — it represents the apex of the Strahl's unmanned weapons program.
Compact, bipedal, and brutally efficient, the Großer Hund became one of the most feared silhouettes of the Earth Independence Conflict. Designed as a fully autonomous combat unit, it combined speed, firepower, and AI-driven precision into a battlefield presence that rivalled — and in some cases exceeded — manned P.K.A. units.
Armed with the PWM.49/z laser and twin Neupanzerschrecks, the Großer Hund was engineered to hunt, intercept, and overwhelm. Its compact humanoid form allowed it to operate across urban ruins, industrial zones, and open terrain with equal lethality.
This early variant represents the original deployment configuration — before the head and AI-core upgrades that defined later production runs. The P.H.J. 101 boxing. The one that started it.
The Großer Hund is documented in full in the Ma.K. Lincoln Report Vol. 3 — HUND, available separately.
Lore
Facing mounting losses, the Strahl Army turned to autonomous systems to preserve manpower. The result was the Großer Hund — a three-metre humanoid interceptor driven by advanced AI.
Early units deployed by Panzerkampf.Abt.32, 2nd Kompanie, defended key industrial zones including Neu Canberra and later New Orleans. Devastatingly effective in the field — but damaged AI cores proved unpredictable. Feared even by their operators.
